Hydrogenious Technologies listed in prestigious 2018 Global Cleantech 100

24. January 2018

Hydrogenious Technologies has been named one of the most innovative and promising cleantech companies globally. The Cleantech Group (CTG) has listed the German pioneer in LOHC-based hydrogen storage in its 9th edition of the Global Cleantech 100. According to CTG, companies on this list are considered as best positioned to solve tomorrow’s clean technology challenges.

“We are very proud to be part of the Global Cleantech 100. This award acknowledges our extensive work and our efforts to enable a sustainable global hydrogen infrastructure”, says Dr. Daniel Teichmann, CEO of Hydrogenious Technologies, who received the award on January 23 in San Francisco. The comprehensive list is selected by combining proprietary research data of the Cleantech Group, with over 12,000 nominations and specific input from an expert panel. It lists companies with the highest potential to make the most significant market impact in the next five to ten years. To
qualify for the Global Cleantech 100, nominated companies must be independent, for-profit businesses that are not listed on any major stock exchange. Hydrogenious, a spin-off of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg is a global pioneer in the Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) technology. The company’s vision is to make the hydrogen economy a global reality, in which global energy needs are covered by green hydrogen produced from renewable energies and distributed safely via LOHC. An example for Hydrogenious’ progressive work is the strategic partnership with Zhongshan Broad-Ocean Motors, one of the leading companies in the field of hydrogen fuel cells for mobility in China. The strategic partnership provides an ideal combination of technology leadership, market presence and
proven execution capability to achieve this goal. Hydrogenious and Broad-Ocean will create a network of LOHC-based hydrogen refuelling stations (HRS) throughout China starting next year. The country has ambitious targets to make its mobility sector emission-free. This partnership with Broad-Ocean enables Hydrogenious to be a significant driver in this transformation. Hydrogenious will keep up the momentum to realize its vision of a cleaner tomorrow with LOHC technology enabling zero emission mobility and carbon emission reductions.
